They just start afresh from where they left the fight, but there is no blood on their faces or clothes. After each action sequence, we see Shahid and Rajeev’s characters covered in blood stains, and the next moment, it’s all gone. The young boy, Atharva, who plays Shahid’s onscreen son, is quite good and refreshing. Diana Penty tries to hold her ground, and she isn’t that bad, actually. Ankur Bhatia and Vivaan Bhatena as bad guys, do a decent job but have too little to do. Sanjay Kapoor comes as a stylised villain only to vanish in thin air once his part is done. Rajeev Khandelwal struggles in action sequences and never looks convincing enough. Ronit Roy, a delight to watch on screen, doesn’t have a clear direction between being a good cop or a bad cop. The cast of the film is rather disappointing. However, the director fails to build the premise on these lines, and nothing translates into the actual script, other than a few superficial scenes where we see people masked up and criminals talking about the pandemic. It opens with a few warnings regarding the initial lockdown, the second wave claiming lives, and the increase in crime rate ahead of the third wave. Sleepless Society 4 is a 2020 Thai drama about an ex-actress who is accused of murder after waking up next to a dead stripper and brother of a man who claims to be the real murderer. When it comes to iconic romantic comedies, Nora Ephron's Sleepless in Seattle is an absolute classic. With a runtime of two hours, the film is fast-paced and well-edited but never rises beyond being a cat and mouse chase and fight. He ends up fighting with his colleagues Aditi Rawat (Diana Penty) and senior Sameer Singh (Rajeev Khandelwal). While he manages to retrieve the bag to keep his son safe, he’s oblivious to the fact that he’s being shortchanged at multiple levels within NCB. Sumair nabs drug dealers along with his colleague Jaggi (Zeishan Quadri), and seizes cocaine worth ₹50 crore. However, things don’t go as planned, and a “bloody” fight ensues. The story follows NCB officer Sumair Azad (Shahid Kapoor) as he goes to meet drug lord Sikander Choudhary (Ronit Bose Roy) in his club to return a bag of cocaine in exchange for his kidnapped teenage son. This may be due to his recent choices of playing angry men. Shahid Kapoor’s heroic screen presence is the only thing that works, but unfortunately, he disappoints in the acting department. The f ilm has mediocre action scenes, average dialogues, and uncooked characters that needed more depth and detailing to leave a lasting impact. Bloody Daddy is an action thriller and an adaptation of the French film Sleepless Night.
